Thanks. I previously had PopOS! on my 2011 Macbook which has been great and I enjoyed a lot after trying many Distros, I was not planning to change that but I decided to try this ZorinOS and I am very impressed with it!

Never move out of PopOS or LinuxLite, or even MX. Zorin looks a lot like Windows, and what I have found is, it does have a lot of bugs, and especially has a lot of overload, including bloatware repos. I only use it, when I want to try out before sharing here. I am otherwise mostly on PopOS most of the time.

:hi: Those are really some beautiful looking OS
and the the extras are amazing.
Though I've read up some on this system and tried one or two
I'm still nervous about really using or double booting with
windows.
I'm not ashamed to say that I'd need to have a step by step guide
right by me while I use this.
It does look so beautiful though. :h:

Easily done. Each OS has its instructions on its website. If you need any help pm me mate. :)

I'm good, love trying various Distros and I updated and imaged my PopOS! current install so I can restore it in a few minutes and be right back where I left off 🤷🏼‍♂️, this has been my method for years. Plus it's a 2011 Macbook that is just an old machine I like to tinker and experiment with so I rather personally test it hands on and see for myself.

OOC, what method do you use to backup and restore your OS, especially Linux/Unix ones?

I use R-Drive image, the same for Windows, Linux or any OS. It can be tricky but I've managed even on the Macbook using it with a bootable USB of R-drive image and I know it works because I've restored various images of different Linux Distros on the Macbook. Of course it has been equally successfully restoring Linux on PC Laptops / desktops as well. Here you can see my Image of PopOS! I created just before installing Zorin.

I hated r-drive. Earlier it used to cause a lot of asymmetric asylum to symlinks. Breaking the restore process in that. I will give it a try, though I recently lost 2TB worth of data (eveeything personal), as my HDD got formatted by Rufus instead of my 16GB USB. So, now I have no personal data (almost 56GB it was) and no software collection I had (1.5TB worth).
Anyways, stopping my rambling. Next time I need something, I will retry R-Drive.
